Located in Nanaimo, B.C., on beautiful Vancouver Island, Kim creates gorgeous wood carvings inspired by the West Coast. His carvings include art for both the indoors and the outdoors, and include a wide variety of carvings such as trees, animals, Vancouver Island silhouttes, and boats. About the Artist
After 30 years as a helicopter faller, Kim sustained an injury which prevented him from going back to work in the woods. He missed the beauty of working in the forest so much – the smell of the trees, birds and wildlife – that he decided to start carving. From his home in Nanaimo, B.C., on Vancouver Island, he began experiments with yard art wood carvings and quickly began expanding into wood carvings for the interior as well.
